My story didn't begin in a boardroom. It began when I left the Philippines and started over in the United States, unsure of my path and what my life would become. Caregiving was the first door that opened, and even though I resisted it at first, those early days at the bedside quickly showed me the profound vulnerability, trust, and love involved in caring for someone's family member.

Those years as a caregiver taught me that real care goes far beyond completing tasks; it means noticing the small changes, honoring culture and family dynamics, and holding space for both fear and hope. They opened my eyes to the hidden world of caregivers: the long shifts, the emotional weight, the quiet sacrifices, and to the very real challenges clients and families navigate every single day.

Driven to do more, I kept learning and growing, becoming a nurse, then co‑founding Care Indeed, and later deepening my work as a gerontologist and care manager. Today, I bring that lived experience and clinical background together to mentor caregivers, guide families and fiduciaries, and support senior living teams as they navigate the complexities of aging with dignity, clarity, and compassion.
